I focus purely on the South West of England, because for me, you just can’t beat it. What ever the setting, what ever the season, there’s something for everybody. However, if you live or work outside of the UK or the South West but still want to get married here, I can absolutely help you.
My job is to give you the day you’ve always imagined. That said, I think it’s important that we are both on the same page and you are getting the best of my work. I would say my style is very whimsical yet elegant, incorporating nature into design whether your wedding is taking place in the great outdoors or sheltered from the elements. I also believe weddings should be fun and that the atmosphere is everything. Get the music playing, the cocktails flowing and party the night away!
I hate the term “marquee wedding” because now a-days they are so much more than that. You can have intricate tipis and yurts, beautiful glass structures that replicate orangeries or elegant canvas tents with a real wow factor. I adore an outdoor wedding, it’s how I chose to do it myself. A marquee wedding is a blank canvas so you can design everything down to the tiniest detail. For some it’s a logistical nightmare, but I love the freedom it gives you and the challenge of pulling everything together. You can create something stunning which is completely personal and unique.
There is absolutely no charge for your consultations! I usually start with a phone or zoom call to talk things through, from what you are looking for and how I can help you. I can then create a service proposal and quote that is completely bespoke to you and your requirements. From here, if you decide to work with me, we will have a much more detailed consultation to give me a much clearer picture of how you imagine your day.
I have a range of amazing contacts with different styles that I can fit to suit your needs. They are talented, creative, professional, but most importantly, they will go above and beyond to help us create the day of your dreams. However, I can source any suppliers that fit your day, it’s completely up to you. This is your day, you are in control, I’m simply here to help and guide you.
Absolutely! None of my services are fixed and everything is customised to your needs. If you need to add in just a few extra bits or upgrade to a different package all together, that’s something I can help with.
I limit the number of weddings I work on per year and only take on one wedding in any weekend. This ensures that your wedding gets the time, dedication and attention that it deserves!
As long as I don’t have a wedding booked in, I am very flexible for client meetings. I understand my clients have alot of other commitments and that’s usually why you need my help, so I’m happy to fit in around you.
This question is completely understandable. Although they sound similar, there is a big difference between their roles. A venue coordinator works solely for the venue, so unless it is venue related, they will not have any input on the run up to the big day. They will liaise with you about suppliers to ensure they are suitable for the venue, but its not their job to ask all the niggly questions you need to know the answer to! Any recommended suppliers won’t be sourced specifically for you with your wedding in mind. This may well be the case for the design aspect as well. A venue co ordinator may be able to offer some suggestions, but it is not their job to design your wedding. The most important difference is that they work for the venue and not for you. They can’t be there to help with every query and guide you through the whole wedding process. It is true that there is an overlap between the two roles, but it is only an added advantage to have two professionals working together. It’s great to have someone on your side, working for what’s best for you.
Yes, I’m fully insured with public liability insurance.
You’ll be provided with a bespoke quote following our initial consultation and kept updated at every stage regarding budgets so there are no nasty surprises
On the most part no! Usually I’ll be able to cater for weddings without having to charge anything extra. However, if your wedding is a considerable distance away then I may need to charge when absolutely necessary, but you will be made aware of this from the very beginning.
My full planning and design services are always charged at a percentage as this is the fairest way for both myself and my clients as a wedding with a larger budget will obviously require more planning. By charging a percentage rather than a fixed “per hour” rate, you are not paying for work that has been dragged out, you are getting better value for money. I’m also able to live and breathe your wedding without charging for an extortionate amount of hours!
Payment terms depend on how long we’ll be working together and which service you choose. My full wedding planning service is broken down into 3 equal payments. A third of the fee is required to secure the booking as a lot of my work starts right away. A 2nd payment is then due half way through the planning process and the final balance payable 4 weeks prior to your wedding. For my partial planning services, payments are usually split into a 50% deposit and 50% balance basis
Oh yes! I love a good party! The skills required to plan a wedding, a party or any other event are exactly the same. In amongst the weddings, a big birthday bash, baby shower, corporate event or any other occasion, is quite refreshing.
Just give me a call or drop me an email and we can talk everything through!
